Killeen children who were abducted found safe in Kansas, parents arrested
Great news!
The two people who were named in an arrest warrant last week after police say they abducted their three children are now in custody and the children are safe!
Reportedly the children were taken from their parents Jeffrey GilSeth and Maria Gilseth because of a history of domestic violence.
They were arrested today off interstate 70 in Topeka Kansas after authorities pinned their car in a toll plaza.
KWTX reports that on yesterday a man who claimed to be Jeffrey Gilseth contacted the media and said he and his wife took the children because he figured they would be put up for adoption and that they were concerned for the well-being while the children were being placed in Child protective services.
With the knowledge that they are both now going to jail after the abduction, GilSeth said that a false accusation by someone, that he threatened his entire family’s safety, made it more difficult after being obedient to everything a court ordered to get their children back.
At least the kids, Hunter who is 11, Dylan who is 9 and Levi who is 4 are all safe!
