According to KWTX, police are investigating an employee of a Family Dollar store, who allegedly attacked Robionna Whittingham and her husband. The incident went down at the store on East Rancier Avenue. They say the clerk was being unprofessional while ringing up an elderly lady, "(The cashier) was cursing and saying the “N” word and all that and he was saying that in front of the old lady at the register, then the customer asked for the manger and (the manager) wouldn't even help her,” Whittingham said. She said that after she stepped in the cashier started cursing at her, that's when her husband jumped in. She and her husband were allegedly physically assaulted by the cashier outside of the store and both had to go to the emergency room! Bryn Winburn, the chain’s public and media relations manager, issued a statement Wednesday in which he said “the person allegedly involved in this incident is no longer employed by Family Dollar.”
