Since 1984, the city of Temple has seen many changes that make Bell County/Central Texas a great place to live and raise families. This time-lapse video shows 32 years of growth and development that's pretty cool to watch.

You can see the development of the Dodgen Loop around Temple, the growth along West Adams Avenue, even the expansion of parts of the Belton community.

The decade that featured the largest growth in Central Texas happened from the year 2000 to 2010 when the Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood metro grew some 22.6%. During that time the growth in Bell County outpaced the entire state of Texas. The state as a whole grew 16% during that decade.

The fastest growing metro in Texas during the 2000's was the Austin/Round Rock/ San Marcos growing at 37%.

This growth can be attributed to several industries in Bell County including Healthcare, Warehousing, and manufacturing - all building a strong foundation for Central Texas and the rest of our great state.
