Lil Pump’s Warner Bros. Records Contract Voided on Grounds He Was a Minor When He Signed

A source tells Billboard that Lil Pump and his camp have voided the rapper's contract with Warner Bros. Records on grounds he was a minor when he signed the deal and it was never certified by the court.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Lil Pump currently has the No. 9 song in the country with "Gucci Gang" as a Warner Bros. Records artist, but the Florida rapper may once again be a free agent when it comes to a record deal.

According to a report from Hits Daily Double, Lil Pump's deal with Warner Bros. Records may not have been ratified since the artist signed the deal as a minor. Entertainment lawyer and manager John Branca is reportedly working with Pump and handling multiple offers from record labels to sign him.

Along with Branca, Pump is also getting help from Tha Lights Global's attorney Todd Rubenstein, who is working closely with Branca. Tha Lights Global is a digital-first entertainment company co-founded by Dooney Battle.

According to Billboard, Tha Lights Global was responsible for getting Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion McCall's "Juju on That Beat" to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to a social media-driven meme campaign.

The small company is made up of seven people but has a network of social media influencers with a combined 160 million followers across nine different platforms. Over the summer, the influencers pushed Lil Pump's songs through SoundCloud and Instagram, increasing his IG follower count from 1 million to 5.7 million in less than six months.

Riding the success of "Gucci Gang," Lil Pump dropped his self-titled debut album in October. The 15-track project features guest appearances from Smokepurpp, Gucci Mane, Chief Keef, Rick Ross and more.
