Mystikal Wanted By Police for an Alleged Sexual Assault
Legendary New Orleans rapper Mystikal is wanted by police in connection with an alleged sexual assault that happened in October 2016.
According to KSLA, police in Shreveport, La., are looking for Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, after they arrested another man, Averweone Holman, on Friday (Aug. 18) in connection to the case. Sources say the allegation stems from an incident at a Shreveport casino on Oct. 22.
"Warrants were secured for Mystikal and Holman for one count each of First Degree Rape," according to KSLA. "Bond was set at $2 million each."
As KSLA points out, this isn't the first time Mystikal faced this kind of charge. In 2003, the former No Limit rapper pleaded guilty to sexual battery and extortion charges and was sentenced to six years in prison. He was released in January 2010 and was placed on five-years probation and was required to register as a sex offender in the state of Louisiana.
Shreveport police are also looking for Tenichia Wafford in connection with the case. The 22-year-old allegedly tried to convince the victim to drop the charges against Mystikal and Holman. Investigators say Wafford faces a charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree rape. Her bond is set at $200,000.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mystikal and/or Wafford is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
