Nicki Minaj Accuses Designer Giuseppe Zanotti of Racism
Nicki Minaj is accusing fashion designer Giuseppe Zanotti of racism, and she says it will not be tolerated. Apparently, Zanotti is not taking Nicki's calls, even though Zanotti has several sneakers named after the Cash Money rapper.
Today (Feb. 3), Nicki took aim at Zanotti on Twitter, typing, "This is wonderful. #GiuseppeZanotti seems to think it's ok to name his sneakers after me but his PR says they won't take our call. Lol."
The Pinkprint artist followed up with an anecdote about the time she first met Zanotti, writing, "I met #GiuseppeZanotti years ago. At which time, he told me I inspired him to design a sneaker in my honor. Wore them on the cover of Cosmo."
She continued, "Recently when he gave other artists capsule collections, my agency reached out and was told they're not taking our call... Just go on google, you'll see all the different pairs he's named after me. Lil black girl can inspire u but ain't worth a collection my nig?"
Finally, Nicki accused Zanotti of racism for all of his shady actions, and reached out to her fans to help make #RunMeMyCHECK and #GiuseppeWhatsGood trend on Twitter. "#RunMeMyCHECK #GiuseppeWhatsGood I got time today," she wrote. "barbz trend this cuz he gon learn today. The racism & disrespect won't b tolerated."
