
Pilot Identified After Plane Crashes Into Katy Community Center
Police have released the identity of a pilot whose small plane crashed into a community center in Katy, Texas Saturday morning.
KHOU reports that 70-year-old Noshir Medhora was the sole occupant of the single-engine Cessna 172 that struck several trees before crashing into a pool maintenance building in the Katy neighborhood of Nottingham Country around 10:30 AM on July 13. Some of the wreckage also ended up in a pool on the grounds.

The pilot did not survive. Thankfully, no one else was injured, but it was a close one. KTRK reports that people were in a nearby clubhouse preparing for a wedding.
KHOU and KTRK report that Medhora lived in north Houston and possessed a Master's degree in mechanical engineering from Berkeley. He leaves behind a wife and two children.
