Rae Sremmurd Sued for Injuring Fan After Throwing Water Bottle at Concert
Rae Sremmurd might be busy basking in their success and working on their upcoming album, but the two have to deal with some legal trouble first.
The "Black Beatles" duo is reportedly being sued for negligence, assault and battery by a fan after he was injured at one of their concerts where he was hit by a thrown water bottle. TMZ reports the fan attended one of the pair's shows back in October 2016, and has filed a lawsuit against the group for recklessly throwing bottled water, which hit him straight in the nose.
The fan from Michigan, whose identity has not been revealed, claims the water bottle hit him so forcefully that it ripped off "a chunk of his face," which reportedly sent him straight to the hospital. He claims he has suffered permanent scarring and disfigurement, and says that both Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi both did not offer any warning of the objects being thrown beforehand.
The pair are being asked to cover the man's medical bills, along with an undisclosed amount for damages.
Despite the lawsuit, the Ear Drummers duo are currently working on their SremmLife 3 album, which should be ready for a release in the near future. Lee is also preparing his solo project, Swaecation, which is coming soon, and Slim Jxmmi is said to have a solo project in the works as well.
Hopefully Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi can settle this case peacefully. TMZ has obtained photos of the man's injuries as well, which you can see here.
