This is the season for holiday joy and family fun.

As we prepare for the bells and whistles that the Christmas Season brings it's time to prepare those Christmas Itineraries. Last year with the pandemic things were pretty slow when it came to events so this year a lot of places are going hard and the San Antonio Botanical Garden is one.

A must-stop this season is San Antonio's Botanical Garden. The garden is hosting 'Lightscape' an event that features a ton of magical displays. Spreading across 38 acres of land the light show has a variety of themed gardens and a spectacular walk-through tunnel with over 100,000 shimmering lights.

There is a lot to expect when attending the Garden this year so check out the list below to be prepared:

1) With installations from local and international artists, expect a pretty long walk as you travel through the one-mile-long illuminated path.

2) Bring cash and or a debit card because there will be festive food and snacks available for purchase. If you're going on a date adult beverages will be available along with a s'mores station where you can roast your marshmallows.

3) Bring a camera! A mile of photo-worthy moments will arise.

'Lightscape' kicks off on Nov. 19 and will run through Jan. 2. Entry times will be available every 15 minutes from 5:45 p.m. until 9:15 p.m.

Infants aged 0-2 years old get in free, tickets for children ages 3-12 years old are $16-$18 and adult entry costs $23-$25. You can purchase tickets online by visiting their website or Facebook page
