YoungBoy Never Broke Again is currently behind bars in Louisiana for violating his 2017 probation case by posting on social media after a shooting he was involved in took place in Florida two weeks ago. Now he could be looking at even more legal trouble.

According to a report from The Advocate on Wednesday (May 22), a search warrant was filed last week requiring the rapper to submit a DNA sample for an incident that occurred at a North Carolina nightclub in February. Police found guns inside an SUV, which belongs to YoungBoy, after a search of the vehicle outside the club.

The cause for the warrant stems from one Charlotte, N.C.'s detective's affidavit in which they report that YoungBoy Never Broke Again and his entourage were present at the nightclub in question on Feb. 17. The rapper reportedly walked toward the door, but then quickly turned around and went back to the SUV he'd arrived in—police think this was because he spotted metal detectors. They say he returned and entered the club a short while later. Once the group returned, police searched the SUV and found three guns.

Though YoungBoy wasn't arrested after the search, his driver, Marvin White, was taken in on possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana. It remains unclear why the search warrant for his DNA was filed months later, but North Carolina authorities point toward the rapper's status as a convicted felon that isn't allowed to own a firearm as a reason for it being issued.

East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore III said the search warrant was filed recently because their office was aware that YoungBoy would be in Baton Rouge soon for his probation hearing. James Manasseh, YoungBoy's attorney, says the rapper "voluntarily submitted to providing his DNA because he denies any wrongdoing in the North Carolina matter."

YoungBoy Never Broke Again is expected to appear in court again on June 21. XXL has reached out to his team for comment.
