Street to Become ‘Nowitzki Way’ To Honor The Maverick Legend
Dirk Nowitzki's name will always be a part of the Dallas Mavericks organization and now it will always be a part of the city of Dallas.
WFAA reports that an application to change the name of Olive Street right in front of the American Airlines Center to 'Nowitzki Way' submitted in May has been approved in a unanimous vote.
Jason Terry accepted the proposal of behalf of Dirk.
The 7 foot Nowitzki is one of the greatest NBA players of all time. Winning the finals MVP while leading the Mavs to the 2011 NBA title, named the 2007 NBA MVP and is the sixth-leading scorer in the league's history.
He is also one of the first 'big men' to be efficient at shooting threes, paving the way for modern talent.
The German-born 41-year-old is as Texan as they come. Congrats Dirk, you're one of the best and one of the kindest souls to play the game.
