None of them are more than about three-hours away driving distance, because a three-hour drive for some amazing food is reasonable!

The Houston Fajita Festival 2016 is a celebration of Mexican culture, food, drinks, and entertainment. Come hungry with family and friends to enjoy a day filled with a variety of delicious fajita choices! Texas cookers and grill masters will have everything from beef to seafood. Plus enjoy live art at the "Mural wall", play with the kids in the "Playground" or relax with the cooling misters in the "Chill Zone". There will be live entertainment for all to enjoy including midget wrestling, local bands, Dj's, Baile folklorico, live artist painting, costume characters, interactive games for prizes and delicious carnival treats including Grandmas Boys Lemonade. There will be a beer and spirit garden offering a broad range of handcrafted cocktails from spiked lemonade to Micheladas with a twist.

For the tens of thousands of people set to visit Taste of Dallas this year, there is something for everyone across 13 different areas inside the event. Restaurants from across the region offer up tastes of their best dishes. Artists will show off their inspired works. Street artists will create masterpieces right before your eyes. Kids will enjoy plenty to keep them busy and engaged in a 12,000 sq ft indoor FREE kids zone. Music and entertainment will pour out from multiple stages, filling the event with fun and festivity.

Texas Blueberry FestivalJune 11, 2016
The Texas Blueberry Festival is a delightful day of the America you dreamed still existed. This is the most delicious festival in the Lone Star State— a day-long celebration of the annual blueberry harvest. As the only state-sanctioned blueberry festival in Texas, this delicious annual event attracts more than 19,000 people to downtown Nacogdoches. It offers a smorgasbord of activities to keep folks entertained all day long.

There will be a Tomato Eating Contest, Tomato Peeling Contest (peel tomato with your teeth), Salsa Contest, Best Home Grown Tomato Contest, Tomato Shoot (kiddos learn safety of shooting a BB Gun and shooting tomatoes), Top Tomato Poster Contest (children 1-3 grade draw their top tomato), Health Screening,Live Entertainment and Farmer’s Market. The farmers sale thousands of tomatoes that day. We have over 200 vendors, Got Talent Contest, Kids Zone, Antique Car Show, Motorcycle Show and fried green tomatoes! Chili’s Street Dance begins at 7:00 pm (this is the only Chili’s that provides a Street dance).

The biggest community event ever held in Killeen returns, the II Battle of the Food Trucks will be held June 18th at the Killeen Community Center.
