
Teen Killed by Train in Copperas Cove Identified
Police have revealed the identify of a 16-year-old Copperas Cove High School student who was struck by a train Wednesday afternoon.
According to our news partner, KWTX, Alexander Stout was hit by a westbound train in the 700 block of West Avenue D at approximately 4:30 PM.
In a news release, the Copperas Cove Police Department said Stout was pronounced dead at 6:47 PM. His remains were sent to Dallas for autopsy.
KXXV-TV reported Wednesday evening that BNSF officials would be reviewing footage from cameras mounted on the train.
