Police in Temple are investigating after an argument escalated into gunfire early Sunday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West Garfield Avenue on August 18 shortly after 12:15 AM after reports of a shooting. When they arrived, police found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to a leg and an arm. Emergency medical service was called to the scene, and the victim was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital, located about 3 miles from where the victim was found.

Police have not released the victim's name or any details other than that their injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police were told the victim got into a disagreement with two men before shots were fired. They were described as an African-American man and a Hispanic man.
