Video: Texas Man Kills Another Man For Trying To Pick Up His Son, But Who’s In The Wrong?
This confrontation reportedly caused by a father wanting his kid turned out deadly, and as far as I'm concerned it shouldn't have happened.
Here's what the news is saying happened.
Chad Read showed up unarmed and non-confrontational to pick up his son for court-ordered visitation.
After finding out the child was not available at the time like he was supposed to be, Read argued with the child’s mom, his ex-wife Christina.
Her boyfriend, William Carruth, intervened and requested that Read leave the property.
After a few words and then a scuffle, Carruth shot Read twice, killing him, as you’ll see on this video:

Here's another angle:
My question is, who is in the wrong?
I was once in that situation years ago where my daughter's mother wouldn’t let me get my child for judge-ordered visitation.
Well, what I did was go to the nearest police station, showed them the court order, then a cop followed me back to her house and I was able to get my child. I did not want to get the cops involved in a situation like that, but in order to dodge confrontation with her or anyone else, I had to do what I had to do.
I would’ve suggested that Read do that without any confrontation, but I understand his anger and him simply wanting to pick up his son.
A few takeaways I have from this:
-A court order signed by a judge for child visitation needs to be followed.
-If I ask you to leave my property and I have a gun, I’m probably going to use it.
We all saw the video. What do you think?
