The website retailmenot.com did a study on US cities with the largest families, and they found that 3 major Texas metro areas are among the top 15 in the nation.

The data was compiled from the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Cities were ranked according to the average number of kids per family.

The researchers also considered other factors such as the proportion of families with single or dual parents and the cost of living relative to the national average.

On Retail Me Not's list of top 15 metros with big families, San Antonio-New Braunfels ranked at #14, while Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington came in at $12 and Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land came in at #8.

According to the report, the cost of living here in Texas is 3% less than the national average. The median household income for a single parent is $30,000, while the median household income for a dual-parent household is $83,000

The Census Bureau reports that the average number of children per family has been rising in recent years.

Despite the fact that the cost of raising children has increased over the years, y'all are still having babies!

In the report, it also adds that The Department Of Agriculture says the cost of raising a child through age 17 is $230,000. As you'd expect, if the child goes to college, that's more money you're going to pay.

More kids? The total surpasses $400,000.

Geez, just buy a dog....
