Texas woman poses as student to prove schools need more security
Because of the tragic school shootings that have occurred lately, a Texas woman decided to sneak in her daughter's high school to show the loopholes in security.
After hearing about proposed security cuts at the school, Stacy Alderete a concerned parent decided to prove to the district the schools need to tighten their security measures instead of cutting them.
Stacy, whose daughter attends South San High School In San Antonio decided to pop up, dressed as a student, carrying a backpack. She recorded herself roaming the halls for over 20 minutes.
She eventually checked herself in the front office, but after noticing only 4 police officers assigned to the entire school that has 10 buildings and those buildings don't automatically lock.
A statement released by the school district reveals that because of the low number of security spread throughout, principals instruct security staff to constantly monitor doors that do not automatically lock via security cameras.
