The Killeen Police Department Is Increasing Traffic Enforcement

Slow it down or expect a ticket.

The Killeen Police department plans to increase traffic enforcement starting tomorrow.

The department has received a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) grant, that allows the extra enforcement. The partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation goal is to promote traffic safety.

Officers will patrol areas identified as having a higher volume of serious injury and fatality crashes.

The extra enforcement will last until the end of the 2020 fiscal year.
