Coming 2 America is a direct sequel to Eddie Murphy's 1988 smash hit film Coming to America. It's set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 5, and will reunite Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, and Shari Healey as Eddie's classic character, King Akeem Joffer of Zamunda, discovers he has a son he's never known about back in America. Akeem once again teams up with Semmi (played by Arsenio) to head to America and find the boy so he can be groomed as a new prince and Akeem's heir.
Eddie and Arsenio will also be bringing back some of our favorite characters from the original movie, including the guys in the barber shop, Randy Watson, and Reverend Brown!
Can a sequel to a beloved comedy classic work after all this time? We'll find out later this week, but we have faith in Eddie and Arsenio.
Be sure to catch the movie when it premieres, then tell us what you think. Meanwhile, tune in to the The Morning Hustle right here on B106 and listen for those movie clips. When you hear them, call in at 1-866-HUSTLE-8 /1-866-487-8538 for your chance to win $1,000.
