Thief Steals Hearse, Dumps Body on Brazos County Road

A petty car thief with no respect for the dead stole a hearse Friday morning, then dumped the remains in the back along a rural road in Brazos County.

KHOU reports that the hearse was left unattended outside a McDonald's in Bryan around 5:30 AM. A delivery truck driver found the remains and a gurney in the area of Dick Elliot Road and Tabor Road, approximately 11 miles away, around 7 AM.

According to KHOU, the body was returned to the funeral home, but authorities are still searching for the hearse.
