Troy Ave was shot in Brooklyn on Christmas night according to the NYPD and his attorney.

The Brooklyn rapper was shot in the arm and grazed in the head, though his lawyer confirms that his injuries are not life threatening. Troy Ave, real name Roland Collins, was sitting in a red Maserati when the shots rang out. He was on his way to have Christmas dinner with his family when the shooting took place.

"Tonight, Troy Ave was targeted again... on Christmas," Scott Leemon, an attorney for the rapper, said in a statement obtained by Billboard. "In Brooklyn, going to meet his family for the holiday, he was shot two times. Thankfully, he will survive the second attempt on his life. As we have said from the beginning -- he is a victim. We pray for his speedy recovery."

The rapper was later visited by 50 Cent, who has been a supporter.

“Dope boy Troy all good, Merry Christmas," 50 said on Instagram.

Troy made headlines earlier this year, when he was arrested and hit with five felony charges—one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon—following a shooting backstage at Irving Plaza in Manhattan during a T.I. concert on May 25. Troy was also shot during the incident.
