
Two people arrested in Belton High Grade Marijuana Sting
An investigation held by the Bell County Investigation Unit and The United States Postal Inspection Service led to the arrest if 2 people in a weed bust.
KWTX reports that 9 pounds of high-grade marijuana with a street value of $40,000 was seized and two people were arrested as a result.
Bell County Sheriff Major T.J. Cruz announced in a press release today that Desmond Evon Wilkerson, 26, and Katelyn Olivia Nicole Tolbert, 24, both of Temple were charged with possession of marijuana over 5 pounds.
Police also seized $24,000 in cash.
Wilkerson and Tolbert were both released on a $100,000 bond.
