Z-Ro will not face charges for allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend, Just Brittany, reports TMZ.

A grand jury failed to indict the Houston rapper on charges of felony assault. Z-Ro was arrested on July 26 for allegedly beating Just Brittany, in an assault that she says lasted more than two hours. Brittany recorded the alleged incident, and gave it to police, which prompted the rapper's arrest.

“I thought the right thing for me to do was to grab my phone and record it,” she explained in an interview. “I’m thinking okay if something happens to me in this house…this man he has no soul in his eyes right now. This is not the person who I fell in love with. He’s angry at something and he’s taking it out on me.”

However, Z-RO's attorney, Charles Adams, told TMZ "there were huge inconsistencies between the recording and the written statement Brittany provided cops." Adams said he believes that's ultimately why the grand jury exonerated Z-Ro.
