2013 ESPY Awards: See Winners Here!

If you're not familiar with the ESPY Awards, think of them as the Academy Awards for sports fanatics. And since a few players from MY favorite teams were nominated, I was glued to the tv Wednesday night to see who took home the hardware.

The evening went pretty much as expected. Host John Hamm made jabs at noteworthy players such as Dwight Howard, Johnny Manziel, and "Metta World Peace" (btw, worst.name.ever.) But the main focus was on the awards! Obvi, I was rooting for Johnny Manziel, the Aggies, and J.J. Watt, who were all nominated for awards. Here's how the winners break down:

• BEST MALE ATHLETE: LEBRON JAMES
• BEST FEMALE ATHLETE: SERENA WILLIAMS
• BREAKTHROUGH ATHLETE: COLIN KAEPERNICK
• BEST RECORD BREAKING PERFORMANCE: MICHAEL PHELPS
• BEST TEAM: MIAMI HEAT
• BEST COMEBACK: ADRIAN PETERSON
• BEST COLLEGE MALE ATHLETE: JOHNNY MANZIEL
• BEST COLLEGE FEMALE ATHLETE: BRITTNEY GRINER
