Another Horrible Killeen, Texas Fire, This Time 7 People Displaced
Another fire has displaced multiple Killeen, Texas residents.
This time it happened on Garth Drive, Instead of a few people like last week, this week 7 people were left temporarily homeless.
What Caused The Fire?
According to the city of Killeen, a passerby called in the fire after they saw black smoke coming from the garage of the house located on Garth Drive-In Killeen. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Who Was Displaced?
There were reportedly one adult and three children who were at home at the time of the fire. No one was hurt, but because the home was rendered uninhabitable, seven total people have been displaced.
According to the press release, the seven displaced occupants will be working with the American Red Cross, Emergency Management, and The Office Of Homeland Security to get any assistance they need.
Second Fire In Killeen In The Past Ten Days
Back on February 1st, 2 people were displaced by a fire in Killeen.
Residents in an apartment complex say a man was smoking in his unit when the fire occurred.
One Killeen resident told Fox 44:
“The guy was smoking crack or something downstairs, but it's alright you gotta forgive people”
He went on to say: “I was up in the crib, heard a boom, thought my door got kicked and came outside, it was Hitler, house on fire."
It was a bizarre but tragic situation, and we hope everyone will be ok.
