The Farmer's Market in Temple is opening up and will be open every Tuesdays and Thursdays through September.

The market, which is located behind Temple Fire Station #7 at 121 Montpark Road off West Adams, will be open from 7am to Noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Several recommended COVID-19 precautions have been listed, and you find them here.  They include social distancing, not shopping with a group of people, wearing a mask and gloves if possible, getting in and out as fast as you can, and using a credit or debit card if at all possible.  They will be enforcing the precautions, so please be respectful.

I'm definitely excited about businesses reopening in our area and especially the farmers market.  I always enjoy getting out and bringing home fresh fruits and vegetables and helping out the local vendors in our area.

You may even find some decent deals at the market, since prices at grocery stores have been going up recently. If you've noticed your grocery bills increasing, you're not alone. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics recently reported that prices went up by 2.6% from March to April. A lot of that has to do with changes to industry procedures, the cost of which are passed on to us.
