Fire Causes Heavy Damange Home on Fannin Loop in Temple

Two people are safe but homeless after a fire gutted their house in the 900 block of Fannin Loop in Temple Sunday afternoon.

The two were in their backyard and unaware of the fire until a passing driver noticed the flames and alerted the couple. Neither was injured.

Fire crews arrived shortly before 5:30 p.m. and cleared the scene around 7:30 p.m.

The Fire Marshall's Office was still investigating the cause of the fire Tuesday.
