Horrible: Woman Dead In Early Morning Fire on Lake Road In Killeen, Texas
There's been a number of fires this year in Killeen, including one that took a woman's life on Lake Road in Killeen early Monday morning.
Fire In Killeen Early Morning, What Happened?
KWTX reports that there was heavy smoke in an apartment where a woman was found in her apartment located at 4300 Lake Road in Killeen.
Killeen Police Spokesperson Ophelia Martinez says Paramedics performed life-saving measures but was unsuccessful and the unidentified woman was pronounced dead at 2:44 a.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke, who has ordered an autopsy.
A Number Of Killeen Fires This Year
Just last month, on February 9th a Killeen fire displaced 7 people including one adult and three children who were at home at the time of the fire. No one was hurt, but because the home was rendered uninhabitable, seven total people have been displaced.
Eight days earlier, on February 1st, 2 people were displaced by a fire in Killeen.
Residents in an apartment complex say a man was smoking in his unit when the fire occurred.
