Missing Mississippi Teen, 16, Found Living with Fort Hood Soldier, 22
A 16-year-old girl missing from Florence, Mississippi has been found living with a 22-year-old Fort Hood soldier in an off-base residence.
Rankin County, Mississippi Sheriff Bryan Bailey posted a Facebook status Wednesday afternoon announcing that Macy Denise Tullos, who Bailey described as a runaway, was located by a U.S. Marshals Task Force, and that Rankin County Deputies would be traveling to Texas to retrieve her.
KCEN-TV's Paris Jones reports that Tullos was located Thursday at the home of a soldier stationed at Fort Hood. The two were living together at a Killeen duplex, according to Matt Payne with the Killeen Daily Herald.
Authorities are working to determine whether that soldier, whose name was not released, will face charges.
Police have not released details about Tullos' motives for running away or the nature of her relationship with the soldier.
Therese Apel with the Mississippi Clarion Ledger reports that Tullos was last seen in Mississippi on October 16.
