So for those of you who missed PLL last night, let me start by saying things got CRAY in this episode!

Toby and Spencer in Ravenswood

This episode picks up with Hannah at the police station getting grilled by the kind of scary woman cop about the gun she was trying to bury. Before she can say anything, Ashley comes in to bail her out, along with Hannah’s long lost dad. Right as the group is leaving, Scary Lady Cop tells the trio that the gun is being tested to see if it was the murder weapon used on Wilden!

Cut to Emily in the locker room---like always. Annoying Shauna walks in wearing full Rosewood gear and tells the injured Emily she is taking her place on the swim team…great! More scenes with that chick!

Next we see the liars (minus Hannah) at The Brew, and Spencer gives Aria a lesson on gun ballistics. (Obvi Aria doesn't watch law and order SVU) All of a sudden, Mona darts in and lets everyone know about Toby giving “A” the “secret lair” (aka the jalopy RV,) AND that Spencer knew about it. Toby doesn't want to dish on his deal with “A” who is giving him info on his mom, so of course everyone is furious at him and Spencer…again.

Back at Hannah’s house, Ashley denies killing Wilden multiple times, and says she had the gun for protection, but Wilden took it from her. And of course "A" threatens Hannah’s parents if she spills the beans. So she sulks in her room until Emily convinces her to hand over the dashcam from Wilden’s car to implicate Shauna and Jenna in the murder.

Toby doesn't want anyone to know about his mom, so Spencer can’t explain why she kept the secret from the girls. Instead, she tries to find out info on the creepy housemother from the sorority house, Mrs. Grunwald. When she realizes that the other girls aren't interested in her theories, due to the fact that they are still royally pissed off at her, she and Toby plan a roadtrip to find the Grunwald.

Back at the Montgomery house, Aria tutors Mike’s lame friend, Connor, who then tries to make a move on her. When she pushes him away he leaves, embarrassed. So OF COURSE it’s no surprise when he dishes to the whole lacrosse team that he hooked up with Aria the next day at school. When Aria busts into the boy’s locker room to clear up the rumor, Connor tells the whole team that she was a skank who hooked up with her teacher, Mr. Fitz (who happens to hear the whole thing).

Cut to Toby and Spencer road tripping it to, you guessed it, Ravenswood. I’m guessing this is a sort of a halfway backdoor pilot for the Ravenswood spin-off slated to start later this year. You can definitely tell they are going for a “supernatural” plot line with this show. The second Spoby rolls into town, the lighting changes to a super gloomy vibe. The pair start looking for Grunwald. They end up finding the creepy old broad getting her hair set in a dusty beauty shop. She refuses that she knows anything about Ally, but the ominous music in the background suggests otherwise. As they are exploring the  town, Spencer spots Shauna at a creepy grave! Just as she and Toby try to chase her down, a big, black, dead raven falls on their car a la Alfred Hitchcock in The Birds.

Back in Rosewood, Aria is still upset, but is comforted by her brother Mike, who apologizes for believing the rumors about her and Connor. Later that night, she and Spencer meet up with Emily at the coffee shop, who is working the open mic night. Enter Scary Lady Cop, who takes Emily with her back to the precinct to show her a video that “A” switched with the real evidence that Emily had left anonymously earlier. In the “A” version, someone wearing an Emily mask and a red coat holds up a sign that says “guilty”. Lady Cop is suspicious, but is interrupted by another call, so they decide to resume their chat later.

Back at the coffee shop, Shauna provides the soundtrack to the last few minutes of the episode with her violin performance. We see someone in black hoodie vandalize Liar Connor’s car (maybe Mike, taking up for Aria?). We also see Ashley arrested for the murder of Wilden!! (Apparently the gun was a match!) And of course we see “A”, hotwiring someone’s car wearing his/her signature black hoodie AND an Emily mask!

Whew! That was kind of a stressful episode! What did you think about Ravenswood, Aria & Fitz, and Hannah’s mom? Tweet me your theories!
