Temple’s Movies In The Park Series Kicks Off This Saturday!
The Temple Parks Foundation’s Movies in the Park series will kick off this Memorial weekend! Get all the details here!
Moana will be shown at sundown on Saturday, May 27th at Miller Park (1919 N. 1st Street.)
It is sponsored by McLane Children’s Scott & White in Temple.
According to a press release by Temple Parks Foundation, Moana is based on stories from Polynesian mythology, Moana tells the story of an adventurous teenager who sets sail on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity."

"The movie, which is rated PG, will be projected on a 30 x 17 foot high definition screen featuring a sound system that rivals any indoor movie theater experience," says the Temple Parks Foundation. The screen and presentation of the movie are provided by Grand Avenue Theater.
Get to Miller Park at 6:30 to enjoy some fun activities prior to the movie! Movies in the Park is free and open to the public. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and snacks. Concessions will be available for purchase. The Summer Movies in the Park Series will conclude on June 17th with a showing of The Secret Life of Pets at West Temple Park (121 Montpark Rd.) sponsored by H-E-B.
