New Mega Millions Jackpot In Texas Almost $1 Billion
A very luck Mega Millions player in Texas snagged $1 million on Tuesday night by matching every number (the white balls) in the drawing with the exception of the special Mega Millions yellow ball.
The odds of matching all five white balls with the yellow ball to win the entire jackpot is 1 in 302.6 million, and to put that into perspective, being struck by lightning is a very attainable 1 in 15,300, especially if you regularly active outdoors.

Mega Millions only has two drawings per week with longer odds than playing Powerball that has a "much more reasonable" 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning. Jackpots for both Mega Millions and Powerball take about 3 months to reach the $1 billion level.

I will not even begin to imagine what it would be like to win $1 billion, but can assure you with some certainty that even if I did come into that kind of found money, I probably would still forget to pay my credit card bill on time.
