Texas White Lives Matter Rally Canceled
Grand opening...grand closing! Texas A&M said that the planned "White Lives Matter" rally has been canceled.
The rally, scheduled for Sept. 11, was being organized by White Nationalist Preston Wiginton, according to KXXV. According to a statement released by the University, the rally is being canceled due to "concerns about the safety of its students, faculty, staff, and the public."
Texas A&M's policy on protests states that no outside individual or group can reserve facilities on campus without the sponsorship of a university-sanctioned organization. There was no campus group that sponsored Wiginton.
