SXSW is all about artists from far and wide to come and perform in front of hundreds of people in hopes of networking getting discovered etc..

I talked to Chicago artist Sherm N Demand whom I went to high school with, having seen him grow as an artist felt good to see someone else recognized his talents to put him on 5 stages at one of the biggest music festivals in the world:
