If you receive SNAP benefits I have some good news for you!

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission has decided to extend the Emergency SNAP benefits for another month according to KWTX. Gov Greg Abbott made the announcement Tuesday that the government will continue to provide support for families who were affected by the pandemic.

The amount that will be given is based on family size but all SNAP households will receive at least $95 in emergency funds. You can also expect to receive the 15% increase in total benefits, which is set to continue until September as promised.

The increase and extra benefits should appear on all accounts by July 31st.
