Missouri City, Texas has a very large processing center to service the Houston metro for the United States Postal Service, and last night one of their employees was a murder victim to one of their coworkers according to local authorities.

Around 10 PM last night, according to this KHOU article, USPS employees began fleeing the facility after an active shooter alert was declared, and police began their response. Missouri City Police located 35 year old Kevin J. Hines at the facility and he was later declared dead due to being shot.

No motive has been shared by authorities or the suspect they have in custody at this time. It has been reported that 24 year old Derrick Lott has been charged with murder and was last known to be held at the Fort Bend County Jail.
