Waco ISD Police Chief Resigns
The Waco Independent School District police Chief has resigned.
Waco Independent School District police Chief Ken Boatman had been suspended two weeks ago after being accussed of creating “an inappropriate work environment,” according to KWTX. The district released a press release stating, “Last month, the district received two anonymous complaints regarding Boatman’s interactions with another employee in his department. The human resources department quickly determined that the anonymous allegations could not be substantiated. In the process of investigating those allegations, however, employees expressed other concerns about Boatman’s leadership and the department’s work environment. Earlier this week, Boatman was provided with a summary of the complaints and given an opportunity to respond." Boatman denied the accusations, then resigned on Friday, according to district spokesman Kyle DeBeer.
