Every good girl and boy deserves a visit from Santa Claus, and he'll be in Copperas Cove for a special event Saturday, December 19.

Copperas Cove Parks & Recreation will host an Adaptive Breakfast with Santa at the Copperas Cove Civic Center from 8AM to 11 AM.

This is an event for special needs and disabled children and their families, and Santa will visit with and adapt to each child who goes to see him that day. He's awesome like that.

NOTE: There is a Breakfast with Santa event at the Copperas Cove Civic Center from 8AM to 11AM Saturday, December 12 as well. The December 19 event will be designed specifically for families of children with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Space is limited, so you'll need to register for this event in advance. Tickets can be purchased at the Copperas Cove Parks and Recreation office located at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, 206 W Avenue B, or online at ccpard.com.

Ticket prices are as follows:

$5 per child

$3 per adult

2 and Under Free

Tickets go on sale from November 23 to December 11.

As mentioned above, space is limited, so be sure to get your tickets early so you and your child can enjoy breakfast with the big guy.

Thanks to Copperas Cove Parks & Recreation for hosting this fantastic event. Christmas should be a time of joy and wonder for every child, and it's great to see events becoming more inclusive and accessible. The folks at Copperas Cove Parks & Rec are definitely on Santa's Good List this year.

If you have any questions or concerns about this event, feel free to email Caycee Hauck at chauck@copperascovetx.gov, or give her a call at (254) 542-2719.

Also, mark your calendar for Saturday, December 5. That's when the City of Copperas Cove will have a "frozen" Christmas parade. That means the floats and light displays will stay in place while your family drives through to enjoy them. The idea is to have a COVID-conscious event that your family can enjoy from the comfort and safety of your vehicle.

The Copperas Cove Leader Press reports that the parade route will start at the main entrance of Copperas Cove City Park on Avenue B. You'll drive through the park, enjoy the displays, and exit by the ballfields.

The annual Kindl Markt will be held that day as well.
